Mabe's Lobster Pound features "Free Range Lobsters" caught daily from the waters of Harpswell Sound and Quahog Bay. Not only are the lobsters local, the lobsterman is her husband, Dave! Prior to lobstering, he was an off-shore fisherman, where he long-lined the Grand Banks off Newfoundland, Iceland and the Azores for swordfish.
Dave's association with the sea affords Mabe's Seafood Restaurant local dive scallops fresh off the knife, Portland's fishing fleets' catch of the day (flounder or haddock), and hand-picked Maine shrimp meat.
